Eligibility for admission to B.Des programme

The candidates must have passed higher secondary school certificate examination (10+2) or the BTE/DTE approved diploma course completed by the candidates is considered equivalent to HSC examination (min 50% open and 45% reserve category). The candidates must also have passed an entrance exam i.e. Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the institute.

CET Consists of three tests-
  • General Ability Test
  • Creative Ability Test
  • Studio Test

Design Aptitude Test

A design course is the combination of some intellectual and practical skills. The intellectual skills comprise of lateral thinking, conceptual thinking, analytical and critical thinking.

Students who wish to pursue their career in design, the first step is to clear the entrance examination. Generally the entrance examinations do not have any prescribed syllabus but judges ones logical, rational and imaginative sense.

General Ability Test (GAT)
It tests your ability in following fields:

  • Mathematical
  • Science
  • General Knowledge
  • Logic
  • Pattern Recognition

Creative Ability Test (CAT)
It tests your ability in following fields:

  • Logical Thinking
  • Visualization
  • Creative Thinking
  • Spatial Understanding
  • Drawing Skills

Studio Test (ST)
It tests your ability in following field:

  • Skill of making objects by understanding the scale and material properties.

Merit List

Merit List is derived solely from the evaluation of performance in the Aptitude test and the Interview.
Merit List will be displayed as per branches selected in admission form.

Admission Confirmation
  • The candidates names declared in the merit list shall remain present at 10:00 am in the institute on the specified date.
  • Candidates remaining absent during the confirmation process, will avail the opportunity at the end of the round on the same day on availability of seats.
  • Candidate called shall confirm their admission on the same day by doing the payment of fees.

The candidates filling online admission forms must remain present at 8:00am on 2nd June 2017 at MVP College of Architecture and Centre For Design Nashik, to complete the following formalities.

  • Signing the admission form in person
  • Payments for the form ie Rs. 800/- to be paid by Demand Draft in favour of M.V.P.Samaj's, Principal College of Architecture payable at Nashik. Shall be posted on college address with the student name.
  • Collecting the hall ticket for CET
